I can't draw my weapons out on fable 3!! HELP PLEASE!!!!!!?

I am at the point where i'm supposed to fight my way through the docks..the quest called "Traitor", Benn Finn is fighting all the soldiers and I cannot pull out my sword, gun, use any magic..I can still get hit if i'm in the way but the enemy's don't see me or attack me at all...I tried turning my Xbox off, twice, changing the batteries to my controller, and it still does not work!!! does anyone know what the issue is??? there's no dialogue thing going on and I haven't skipped through any. someone please help!
