My honor roll son got 2Fs on his progress report what shud I do?

He has always benn an excellent student. He is the only boy he has three sister and Im a single Mom. His father is around when its convent but not active. I dont have any male figures in my family for him to look up to. I just see him slipping and Im so scared!!
